My first event! (Apart from the Brass Monkey when I was at uni, but that doesn’t really count!)

Can’t remember much about it. I’d only been running two months. I started when the Olympics was on, in August 2012 – something inspired me. I remember watching Bolt, although I’ve never been interested in sprinting.

So I guess the time was pretty decent given that I’d just started. I remember being pleased with it. Laura was there with Charlie, 6 months old, in a sling.

If you’d told me then how things would progress, I’d never have believed it.
